Sydney Markets has launched a new school excursion program suitable for K-6 students, which will provide students with a unique 'behind the scenes' insight into the workings of the centralised marketplace. It will also teach students the importance of eating fresh fruit and vegetables.
The excursions will focus on the journey fresh produce takes from farm to plate. Trained guides will navigate students through the early morning hustle and bustle of the markets, meeting growers, wholesalers, inspecting Sydney Markets' industry-leading sustainability initiatives and finishing off with a cooking demonstration at Paddy's Markets.
The excursion will commence at 7:30am with students convening in Sydney Markets Central, the newly completed centralised communication hub at the markets and conclude at Paddy's Markets at 11am. The excursions are held on Fridays only and are free to attend.
Please complete the below form and a representative of the markets will be in touch with further details.
