We are delighted to announce, our '2019 Fresh Canteen of the Year' is Black Swan Cafe Canteen at Grahamstown Public School!
The competition was extremely close however, our judges were so impressed with Black Swan's innovative approaches to getting their kids eating fresh. In particular, their mac and cheese loaded with HEAPS of hidden vege and Nicole's 'Pink Lemonade Nicey Poles' made with fresh lemons from the school garden, coloured with purple cabbage! On their menu, the very first items you will see are FRESH and sound totally delicious.
The crowned winners were awarded $1000 to spend at their local greengrocer, Jesmond Fruit Barn. The team made great use of their grand prize, stocking up before the back to school rush!
Nicole and Nikki have been busy cooking up a storm with their veggie-packed bolognese, zucchini slice and mac & cheese!
